These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of pullnotes (the “Service”), operated by Daniel Yates, trading as pullnotes, of [Registered address — TBD](“pullnotes”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
pullnotes connects to a GitHub repository you authorize, reads merged pull requests, drafts customer-facing changelog entries using an AI model, and lets you review, edit, and publish those entries to a public page at pullnotes.dev/<slug> or a connected custom domain.
2. Accounts
You must sign in via our supported authentication provider and connect a GitHub account to use most features. You’re responsible for the security of your account credentials and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at support@pullnotes.dev if you suspect unauthorized use.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to publish content that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes another party’s rights.
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits, plan limits, or access controls.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the Service without our written permission.
- Use the Service to process data you don’t have the right to process (including GitHub repositories you don’t have authorization to connect).
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.
4. Subscriptions, billing & cancellation
Free and paid (“Pro”) plans are described on our pricing page. Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly, unless stated otherwise) via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method each billing period until you cancel.
Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard billing settings; your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period, after which it reverts to the Free plan. We don’t provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods.
Refunds.Because pullnotes is a digital service that gives you immediate access to paid features on subscribing, you acknowledge that this constitutes express consent for the service to begin immediately and, to the extent permitted by applicable consumer law (including the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013), a waiver of any statutory right to cancel for a refund once the service has begun, except where required by law. If something’s gone wrong on our end (a billing error, a service outage), contact support@pullnotes.dev and we’ll sort it out — refunds are considered case-by-case at our discretion.
Changes to pricing. We’ll give you reasonable advance notice (at least 30 days) before any price increase takes effect on your existing subscription.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the changelog content you create and publish through pullnotes. You grant us a limited license to host, store, and display that content as necessary to operate the Service (including serving your public changelog page). We don’t claim ownership of your GitHub repository data or the entries you publish.
6. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties — GitHub (repository access), Stripe (payments), and an AI provider (drafting changelog entries from your pull request data) among others described in our Privacy Policy. Your use of those third-party services is also subject to their own terms.
7. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. AI-drafted changelog entries may contain errors — you’re responsible for reviewing entries before publishing them. To the maximum extent permitted by law, pullnotes will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms. On termination, your public changelog pages will stop being served.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll notify active subscribers by email or an in-app notice before the changes take effect.
